PROJECT INFO

St. Farnan’s Post Primary School in Prosperous, Naas, Co. Kildare is benefitting from an additional 380sqm single-story modular classroom block. Opening back in 1941 with just three classrooms, today the school has almost 600 students travelling from towns including Prosperous, Timahoe, Donadea, Allen, Allenwood, Coill Dubh, Robertstown and Staplestown.

A co-educational post primary second level school, the new single-storey classroom block at St. Farnan’s was much-needed. Delivering additional learning space for students, the modular building was completed alongside extensive siteworks which included a fire tender access road with turning circle from the main road to the modular building.

The nearly zero-energy building (nZeb), which sits adjacent to the main school building, consists of one home economics room, two classrooms, one SEN classroom, one quiet space room and UAWC and WC areas. The 380 sqm classroom block was manufactured offsite, with the project taking just 4 months from start to completion.
