MAC ZERO ANNOUNCED AS NEW CLUB SPONSOR OF AN MHAIGH TÍR NA NÓG
Mac Zero Modular Buildings – a company founded by Conor McAvoy and Órla McAvoy Corr - has been announced as the new sponsor of An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg, continuing a 30-year association with the Club.
Established in June 2021, Mac Zero is based on the original site of the McAvoy Group in Coalisland. In just 12 months, the company has gone from strength to strength, and both Conor and Órla are proud to continue their family’s long-held association with An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg.
Based in Moy, Tír na nÓg GAA club fields teams at all age groups, in both men’s and ladies’ gaelic football. Moy Tír na nÓg is affiliated to Tyrone GAA, with its senior male team playing in division one, and the ladies’ senior team playing in intermediate division two.
Commenting on her family’s continued commitment to An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg, Órla McAvoy-Corr, Director of Mac Zero adds: “My father established a local business 50 years ago, that was strengthened by the support and skilled workforce from our local community.
“30 years ago, as Roancabin, then McAvoy Group and now Mac Zero Modular Buildings, we are thrilled to continue our association of An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg.
Co-Director of Mac Zero, Conor McAvoy, explains: “As we begin our new journey with Mac Zero, we’re delighted that the opportunity presented itself, once again, for us to support An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg. Since we established Mac Zero one year ago, the support that we received from our community and long-established colleagues within the business has been incredible.
“Mac Zero’s sponsorship of the Club represents our thanks to everyone for their support, our commitment to supporting future generations within Gaelic sport, and first steps in establishing a new history for Mac Zero modular buildings within the heart of County Tyrone.”
In addition to its provision of all team jerseys, the Mac Zero sponsorship includes pitch side and programme branding throughout the season ahead.
Chairman of An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg, Philip McQuoid, comments: “On behalf of everyone within the wider An Mhaigh Tír na nÓg club community, we are delighted that Mac Zero is our new team sponsor and welcome the continuing association with The McAvoy family.
“Our club has a rich history within the local community, and this sponsorship with others helps us to further deliver on our goal of supporting over 170 youth players to ensure the strength of our Club in the years ahead.”
Moy GAA club was founded as Moy Phelim Roe GAC in 1908 and was renamed as Moy Tir na nOg in 1913. Next year, the Club celebrates it’s 115-year anniversary.
Former directors of the McAvoy Group, Conor McAvoy and sister, Orla McAvoy-Corr, established Mac Zero Modular Buildings in 2021 following their exit from the business, which was established by their father 50 years ago. Mac Zero’s name is reflective of the business’s values - striving for zero accidents, zero defects, zero delays, zero carbon footprint and zero waste.
